With delegations from both the US and North Korea attending the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea, the two countries have an opportunity to take advantage and get some diplomacy in after months of angry rhetoric on both sides. Two men decided to use the opportunity to make a scene that many won’t forget in an attempt to promote world peace.

The men, who were impersonating Trump and Kim Jong-un attended the opening ceremony. They reported to the media that their goal was to promote peace between the two nations. The media certainly noticed them but it is unclear if Kim Jong-un’s sister saw them.

While they made the Winter Olympics ceremony a lot more interesting for some attendees, the pair was escorted out by security.

The Kim impersonator said that he and the Trump look-alike got along “great” but he declined to reveal his name.

“We wanted to surprise everyone and bring world peace and then we’re being escorted out by security guards, which I think is really unfair,” he stated. “Doesn’t everyone want peace?” As the Kim impersonator was being thrown out of the venue he asked if his “sister” was going to get the same treatment.

Neither the real Trump nor the real Kim Jong-un attended the Winter Olympics opening ceremony but delegations from both countries were present. Kim sent his sister Kim Yo Jong and Vice President Pence was also in attendance as part of the US delegation.

Before the ceremony, Pence went around a table and shook hands with each and every person seated there except Kim Jong-un’s sister.

Sure, we will never know the true identity of these impersonators, or at least we probably won’t, but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy them when we see them.
