So there is hope! Oprah Winfrey said if she sees a clear-cut sign from God then she would strongly consider running for President in 2020.

The media mogul tells People a run for the White House is a possibility saying: “I went into prayer. ‘God, if you think I’m supposed to run, you gotta tell me, and it has to be so clear that not even I can miss it.’ And I haven’t gotten that.”

Keep praying, Auntie O!

While Oprah is busy making the media rounds promoting her new movie A Wrinkle in Time, she can’t get away from the mounting pressure to become the next President.

And the speculation over her 2020 prospects are all due to Oprah’s soul-stirring speech at the 2018 Golden Globes while accepting the Cecil B. DeMille Award.

“When I walked off with Reese [Witherspoon], I thought, ‘I got that done,’ ” she says. “It wasn’t until I was back in the press room that they said, ‘Do you realize you’re trending?’ ”

Oprah says her best friend Gayle King urged her to strongly consider the possibility of a 2020 face-off against Donald Trump and told her that her bestie would receive tons of support.

And she’s getting big money pressure from some other influential circles as well.

“I had people—wealthy, billionaires—calling me up and saying, ‘I can get you a billion dollars. I can run your campaign,”‘ she reveals. “That many people saying something made me think, ‘Am I at least supposed to look at the question?’ ”

Trump weighs in

While Oprah may be waiting on a sign from God on whether she should run for president Donald Trump is clearly already shook over her prospects.

The commander-in-tweeter took to his favorite platform two weeks ago to disparage the Oprah after watching her host a 60 Minutes segment where she talked to a panel of voters in Grand Rapids, MI. The people selected for the panel were supporters and detractors of President Trump and they offered a diverse set of opinions.

The 14-member group discussed a range of issues including #MeToo, the shithole countries comment, and tax reform.

This interview apparently didn’t sit well with Trump who tweeted: “Just watched a very insecure Oprah Winfrey, who at one point I knew very well, interview a panel of people on 60 Minutes. The questions were biased and slanted, the facts incorrect. Hope Oprah runs so she can be exposed and defeated just like all of the others!”

During an appearance on Ellen DeGeneres‘ talk show, Oprah Winfrey revealed her initial reaction to Donald Trump calling her insecure.

“I don’t like giving negativity power, so I just thought, ‘What?’” said the 64-year-old legend.

And as for what’s next?

“Nothing makes me happier than to see other people in their purest moments of joy,” she admits to People. “Sometimes, honest to goodness, I’m just sitting around thinking, “What could I do to make somebody feel really good today?”
