Rachel Dolezal today, your favorite trans-Black activist, is making media waves with the announcement of her upcoming documentary on Netflix. The trailer has been up for barely a day and already, social media has unleashed a mighty fury onto Dolezal.

Has anyone checked on Rachel Dolezal today? She seems to have been put six-feet under on social media (again). Your favorite trans-Black activist is making media waves with the announcement of her upcoming documentary on Netflix.

The popular streaming service okayed the cringingly awkward title of The Rachel Divide for the flick. The trailer has been up for barely a day and already, social media has unleashed a mighty fury onto Dolezal.

The 40-year-old reached national infamy in 2015 when she was “outed” as a white woman after years of claiming she was Black while heading up the Spokane, WA chapter of the NAACP. Her tans, “Black-cent”, and weaves of various textures apparently were enough to fool some people that she was just a sista of a lighter hue.

The Rachel Divide is the culmination of two years worth of footage featuring Dolezal and her two sons as she made various missteps in her life and career, always bringing on the ire of the public. Her son Franklin is prominently featured in the trailer and is not shy about expressing his displeasure with this mother’s media interactions.

Today’s Dolezal mis-adventure is the documentary trailer itself and Twitter took no mercy. Here are a few of the the funnier and more savage responses.
