It looks like Donald Trump’s favorite channel, Fox News, is tuned in and throwing their support behind his new bff Kanye West.

A Fox News opinion piece by writer Rafael Mangual calls for Black folks to listen critically to West’s erratic Twitter ideologies and pull themselves up by the Yeezy’s bootsteps.

Still hanging on to those antiquated misconceptions that all Black folks are whining about racism, Mangual wrote:

“West may be dismissed as an eccentric – and his newfound rhetoric may or may not prove short-lived – but if even only a few of his many fans reject the victimhood narrative as a result and accept that personal responsibility illuminates the path to excellence, then it will be to the good.”

Does Kanye West sporting MAGA hat give George Bush the ultimate clapback?

The problem is while West sits high and judges low he dangerously gives false narratives of the African American experience that conservative outlets like Fox News are sucking up and spewing out as the gospel according to Kanye.

Fox News has is having a field day now that West has turned to the right.

Mangual, whose post has garnered nearly 700 comments, goes on to say conservatives should be skipping along and be “heartened” by West’s tweets, saying he “recognized the importance of individual initiative in uplifting minority communities. West’s tweets could expose his vast audience to conservative arguments with which it is largely unfamiliar.”

After viral Waffle House arrest, Chikesia Clemons speaks on humiliation, pain and what she tells her daughter: ‘I’m constantly breaking down and crying’

Hmm… let’s not get started on Trump’s conservative arguments dismissing minorities, calling countries with darker-skinned people shitholes, siding with white supremacists, his failure to speak out against injustice against Blacks and police shooting of unarmed men, ordering the firing of black journalists, supporting neo-Nazis – need I go on?

How would West uplift minority communities when his latest tweets are proof that he’s not even woke when it comes to the work that needs to be done in Black communities?

Dude is clearly confused.

An equally confused conservative Fox News host Shep Smith tried to figure out the Twitter muck but don’t really know what to make of the situation. Smith tried to give a rundown of what was going on with West tweeting his support of Trump.

Awkward

It looks more like the conservatives were given a something that they don’t know quite what to do with and they want to return it.

But Fox News can keep him.
