In case you missed it, once again social media put a comical spin on another incident while being Black in America.
The woman who called the cops on Black BBQ’ers in Oakland, got a taste of her own trolling when the internet turned her into a meme. Her disgruntled face can now be seen everywhere there is Black joy– from MLK’s March on Washington to Wakanda forever.
In Washington, D.C., a Black dad got the cops called on him while strolling through a park with a stroller. Donald Sherman was stopped by security because a woman called saying there was a “suspicious man” walking with a baby on the path. Luckily, the security officer did not detain him, or call the actual police
And in entertainment, a social media showdown between Cardi B and Azealia Banks over the weekend, ended in one star quitting it altogether. During banks visit at The Breakfast Club, the rapper was asked about past slander against Cardi B. After defending herself and taking more jabs from banks, Cardi B has since deleted her page.
We’re wishing the best for Cardi as she prepares for motherhood– it may be good take a break from social media altogether to get some peace and quiet.
