Is Beyoncé about to bless (and resurrect) a NOLA church?
An historic church caught Queen Bey's eye recently, but what's she going to do with it?
A few days ago, a San Francisco church held a Beyoncé-inspired mass that drew from hundreds across the country to sing Queen Bey’s praises. Now, word is Beyoncé herself has purchased an historic New Orleans church, so we can’t help but wonder if she’s taking a heavenly cue to throw her own Sunday service.
According to TMZ, the singer purchased a 7,500 sq. ft stone church that was listed at $850,000. Bey is certainly into flipping properties since she’s bought quite a few in the past. No word if this is an investment property or if she’s prepping for a mass-like music video or plans to restore the aging 100-year-old church in an attempt to revitalize a small section of the Big Easy.

The church was built in the early 20th century, but has been out of use as a church because of so many members passing away, according to TMZ. The news comes about a month after she blessed the stage at Coachella, in a rousing performance that lit up social media for days.
A coincidence or divine intervention?
Many churches nationwide have combined pop culture and scripture to engage with their following and boost attendance.Beyoncé is part of that mix.
San Francisco’s Grace Cathedral Church invited parishioners last week “to sing your Beyoncé favorites and discover how her art opens a window into the lives of marginalized and forgotten — particularly black females,” during the Beyonce mass.
Founding pastor Rev. Jude Harmon told the San Francisco Chronicle that, “the beauty of Beyoncé’s music is she explores those themes in an idiom that is accessible to everyone. We can use it as a conversation starter. That’s what it’s designed to be.”
