WTF! Roseanne Barr calls Valerie Jarrett a monkey and Black Twitter is reading her for filth
And exactly what does ABC plan to do about it?
This all started when the Trump supporter and star of ABC’s Roseanne fired off a racist tweet suggesting that former Barack Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett is an ape, reports BuzzFeed.
“muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj,” Barr tweeted in response to a post about Jarrett.
Barr attacked Jarrett, an African American woman who was born in Iran, in response to an article which unsubstantiated claims that former President Obama spied on the President of France. Barr’s Muslim comment toward Jarrett follows the thought process of conservatives who tried to unsuccessfully assert that Jarrett was behind a secret push to make America a “more Islamic country.” According to the fact-checking website, Snopes, that claim is “false.”
Barr took to Twitter to apologize for the smear saying, “I apologize to Valerie Jarrett and to all Americans. I am truly sorry for making a bad joke about her politics and her looks. I should have known better. Forgive me-my joke was in bad taste.” She says she plans to now leave Twitter (one can only hope for good), saying:
“It’s a joke,” she wrote in response to a CNN reporter.

“Muslims r NOT a race,” she said in response to another user.
The two unconnected ideologies however were thrown together by Barr to make a harsh and insensitive attack on Jarrett. This is after all her cup of tea and not the first time Barr has come under fire for taking pot-shots at minorities.
As if Roseanne Barr’s repugnant Nazi pictures aren’t enough, the comedienne has taken offensive shots at more minorities, this time taking aim at ABC’s Black-ish and Fresh Off the Boat on her resuscitated MAGA-sitcom Roseanne.
Roseanne’s latest pot-shots just prove that she’s truly one of Trump’s “deplorables” both on air and off.
Black Twitter had enough to say and responded with swift condemnation.
Good morning @ABCNetwork , @Disney. The public twitter comments of Roseanne Barr this morning are offensive and racist. They are not “a joke” but are consistent with repugnant commentary she has made and continues to make. This is unacceptable.

Hi @ABCNetwork, if you’re going to continue to air @RoseanneOnABC, maybe you should tell @therealroseanne to quit calling Black people monkeys.
Just a free idea from me to you.

For the many who pay her no mind, Roseanne Barr tweeted that Valerie Jarrett was the result if a “muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby.” Roseanne called a Black woman an ape. Where’s joke attempt? https://t.co/J2Nw3mGqUQ

Lemme take this time to be PETTY AF. @therealroseanne making fun of someone’s looks is like Donald Trump aka Cheeto Satan calling someone’s hair “ridiculous.” Like, girl, you got ALL THE NERVE in the world. So much nerve. Peak nerve. Ultra nerve.

Roseanne Barr is still calling black women “apes” – Now it’s Barack Obama’s former advisor and friend , Valerie Jarrett.
ABC should cancel Roseanne, her racism and bigotry are unacceptable. pic.twitter.com/lV2V1PM8cX
