President Donald Trump and Kim Kardashian met at the White House to discuss prison reform. That is a surreal sentence that would have seemed inconceivable just two years ago, but because we live in the upside down world, such is life.

Literally no one would have called on these two reality stars to discuss such an important and nuanced topic, but since Trump managed to dog whistle his way into the White House, he’s the boss when it comes to who is welcome at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

For her part, Kardashian has dipped her toe into the realm of prison reform by advocating for the release of Alice Marie Johnson. The 62-year-old great-grandmother is currently serving a life sentence in Alabama for money laundering and drug conspiracy related to her involvement in a cocaine ring. The 1997 charges were Johnson’s first.

Kardashian has also been a part of efforts to free Cyntoia Brown, a 30-year-old Tennessee woman who is serving a life sentence for murder. Brown insists that the 43-year-old man she killed when she was 16 had been keeping her as a sex slave.

The Keeping up with the Kardashians star added her platform to the #FreeCyntoiaBrown social media campaign and took it a step further by having superstar defense attorney Shawn Holley look into both Brown and Johnson’s cases.

And, of course, Donald Trump couldn’t wait to share a photo of their meeting.

And once the photos of the oval office meeting began making the rounds social media users had many thoughts.

Kim Kardashian posted a gracious message about the oval office meeting.

Details about the meeting and whether anyone will be pardoned have not been released. After the meeting, Kardashian reportedly headed to Ivanka and Jared Kushner’s DC home for a private dinner.
