Teyana Taylor is the latest casualty in Kanye West‘s descent into the sunken place. The singer/rapper/reality star who is married to NBA star, Iman Shupert got the short end of the stick in the producer’s master plan to roll out her album, K.T.S.E.
Taylor sat down with Ebro in the Morning this week and revealed her frustration with the album’s song sequence among other things.
“The majority of the songs were done when we put that date out,” she said. “It was just a lot of miscommunication as far as clearances and certain versions.”
The release date for the project was June 22 and there album was reportedly pushed back after the buzz that ensued when Pusha T dropped his scathing diss record about Drake and the promised follow-up bonus album from Taylor never came.
I guess we ain’t getting one. 🤷🏾♀️ https://t.co/VBKQqYaHBy

Taylor revealed that she wasn’t aware of Kanye West’s plan to roll out five consecutive albums including his own, one from Pusha T, a Nas project, and a Kid Cudi album.
“At first I didn’t really know that it was going to be the five album thing until we had our last meeting… Once [Kanye] said his [album] and everybody else, I was a little nervous at first. I was like ‘Y’all n****s is legends, I ain’t trying to be up in the middle of all of that,’” she said before admitting she decided to just go with the flow.
”I didn’t know ahead of time that there wouldn’t be any singles or visuals…but I knew that it was going to be the five-album thing, [Kanye] wanted [my album] to be last, you know, he wanted mine to be the biggest. That’s the way they sauced it up. I was sold.”
It seems she was “sold” on a vision that never came to fruition and now she’s paying the price in terms of album sales. Now, Teyana Taylor is planning to release the additional tracks in upcoming music videos.
