Cardi B’s husband Offset arrested in Georgia

Rapper Cardi B’s husband Offset was arrested after a traffic stop in Jonesboro, Ga., on Friday afternoon. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution the Migos rapper who was reportedly driving a 2014 Porsche 911 Carerra was pulled over by Clayton, Ga., police after he allegedly made an improper lane change.

As police approached the vehicle, they detected the smell of marijuana, and when they searched the luxury car, found three handguns, about an ounce of marijuana and $107,000 in cash, according to reports.

Offset’s been charged with a traffic violation as well as possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime, according to the Journal-Constitution and TMZ.com. The last two charges are felonies, Page Six reported.

Offset, 26, whose given name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was with his bodyguard, Senay Gezahgn. Both men were arrested, the newspaper reported.

Offset married Cardi B. in a secret ceremony last fall. The couple also celebrated the birth of their first daughter, Kulture Kiari in early July. Prior to the awaited arrival of their daughter, they had a star-studded baby shower that included Monica Brown, Lil Mama, Mona Scott Young, and Kirk and Rasheeda Frost.

It has previously been reported that Offset had been serving five years of probation in relation to a 2015 arrest on drugs and weapons charges but Offset’s lawyer, Drew Findling, told the Journal-Constitution that Offset received an early termination of that probation.

TMZ.com has reported that as of Saturday morning his bail was set at $17,000.

No response yet from Cardi B, but two days ago, she tweeted that she is all in when it comes to her marriage. “I never felt this feeling before,” she tweeted. “I’m in love and my heart feels like it’s melting.”
