Trump’s latest typical Twitter attack comes on the heels of an interview that was aired on CNN Monday night when LA Lakers’ Lebron James sat down with Don Lemon. James, who earlier that day opened his foundation’s new I Promise School in his native Akron, Ohio, USA Today reports, discussed an array of topics, including Trump’s presidency.
The baller took the time to clarify why he called 45 a “bum” on his Twitter account.
U bum @StephenCurry30 already said he ain’t going! So therefore ain’t no invite. Going to White House was a great honor until you showed up!

As reported by the L.A. Times, when asked what he would say to Trump if they were to sit face-to-face, James said, “I would never sit across from him.”

Lemon then pressed James about possibly running for political office after his NBA career.
“If you don’t run, Trump’s going to win,” James responded with, “Well, in that case, I may [run],” adding: “I believe there’s someone else out there. I hope.”
Trump’s criticism of the interview did not come until Friday night when he hit up Twitter to allude that he prefers Michael Jordan over LeBron.
“Lebron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon,” he wrote. “He made Lebron look smart, which isn’t easy to do. I like Mike!”
While Lemon has since responded to Trump via Twitter, James has yet to weigh in.

Trump’s attack on these two men supports comments previously made by the ghostwriter behind “Art of the Deal.”
When Tony Schwartz appeared on CNN last November to discuss Donald Trump’s Twitter feud with LaVar Ball, he noted that the president is “frightened by black people.”
Now that the three basketball players are out of China and saved from years in jail, LaVar Ball, the father of LiAngelo, is unaccepting of what I did for his son and that shoplifting is no big deal. I should have left them in jail!

“His only way of dealing with them is to attack them,” he added.
Meanwhile, during a separate airing of “CNN Tonight,” Lemon said that Trump’s presidency “can be defined by lies.”
