Chris Rock set to direct Kevin Hart in comedy ‘Co-Parenting’
Chris Rock is reportedly in negotiations to direct fellow comedian Kevin Hart in an upcoming comedy movie called “Co-Parenting.”
According to Variety, the film will be based on an original idea by Rock and Hart with Yamara Taylor from ABC’s “Black-ish” set to write the script.
The movie Hart’s character is described as “a stay at home dad who raises the kids while his star CEO wife serves as the breadwinner. The man finds himself in emotional and public turmoil when his wife kicks him to the curb, and they engage in a bitter divorce and custody battle.”
Kevin Hart will also be showing fans his dramatic side in the upcoming dramedy film The Upside alongside Bryan Cranston.
Although we’re more accustomed to seeing Hart cut-up and crack jokes, he’s bravely taking on a dramatic role in the remake of the French film The Intouchables, which originally starred starring Omar Sy and Francois Cluzet, Shadow and Act reports. The film is based on a real life story of the friendship between an aristocrat and his caregiver.
lso starring is Aja Naomi King, Nicole Kidman, Julianna Margulies, and Jahi Winston.
The Upside hits theaters in January 2019.
If Hart’s past movie catalogue is any indication of future success, The Upside will do just as well as his other movies including the recently released Night School.
The comedy duo’s hilarious movie Night School raked in $28 million during its opening weekend, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
