Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura were spotted leaving an event together in Los Angeles one day after the death of his ex Kim Porter, reports TMZ.
The music mogul and Ventura both dressed casually on Friday at The Movement Institute. The former couple reportedly called it quits months ago, after they dated on and off for 11 years, but their break up wasn’t announced until October.
Porter and dated Diddy on and off for several decades and share three kids, 11-year-old twin daughters, Jessie James and D’Lila, and son Christian Combs, 20. She was also the mother of son Quincy, 27, from a previous relationship with singer Al B. Sure. The model-actress was found dead on Thursday in her Toluca Lake home at the age of 47.
A source told Us Weekly that the Grammy winner has been “inconsolable” since her death. They had a “deep respect” for each other that “trumped any issue they had,” the source said. “They were on very good terms in recent years. She was a ‘ride or die’ and very loyal to Diddy … Kim’s passing has turned his life upside down.”
Diddy’s rep told Us in a statement, “Sadly, I can confirm the passing of Kim Porter. I ask that you give the families privacy at this time.”
While the cause of death is still under investigation, TMZ reported that Porter was battling pneumonia in the weeks before her passing.
“They went through some tough times but truly came out on top,” an insider shared with ET. “Sean constantly raved about what an amazing mother she was to their children.”
“Sean is truly devastated and is desperately trying to come to terms with how he will move forward without Kim,” the source added. “He is truly in shock. Their closest friends are being the best support they can be at this moment and surrounding him with love.”
