Kim Porter’s cause of death investigated; Sean Combs posts heartfelt tribute to soulmate
“For the last three days I’ve been trying to wake up out of this nightmare,” the hip hop mogul posted Sunday on Instagram.
The Los Angeles County Coroner plans to conduct further testing into the death of Kim Porter, model, actress and former girlfriend of hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, according to E! News.
The “additional investigation” was ordered after the coroner “deferred” citing a cause of death for the 47-year-old, pending further testing, the report said.

Diddy spoke out for the first time about her death on Sunday, posting a touching Instagram Story.
“For the last three days I’ve been trying to wake up out of this nightmare,” the hip hop mogul wrote on Instagram on Nov. 18th, as he shared a video of them together accompanied by SWV’s “When U Cry.”
“But I haven’t. I don’t know what I’m going to do without you baby. I miss you so much. Today I’m going to pay tribute to you, I’m going to try and find the words to explain our unexplainable relationship. We were more than best friends, we were more than soulmates. WE WERE SOME OTHER S–T!! And I miss you so much. Super Black Love”

Porter died on Nov. 15. Sources say she was receiving medical treatment for pneumonia before she passed.
Emergency worker arrived at her Toluca Lake, Calif., home after receiving a cardiac arrest phone call. “Sadly, I can confirm the passing of Kim Porter,” Diddy’s rep told US Magazine in a statement at the time. “I ask that you give the families privacy at this time.”
Diddy, 49, and Porter dated off-and-on from 1994 until 2007. The ex-couple co-parented their son Christian, 20, and twin daughters Jessie James and D’Lila, 11 and remained close friends. Porter also had 27-year-old son, Quincy, from her previous relationship with Al B. Sure.

E! News reported that Diddy is “very heartbroken” over Porter’s untimely death and is trying to “figure out next steps for his children.”
Plans for a memorial service have not been announced publicly.
