Chance The Rapper shares beautiful story of how he met his fiancée
He proposed to Kirsten Corley last summer and they have a daughter together, named Kensli.
Chance The Rapper on Wednesday had us all in tears when he shared the story of how he met his future wife, Kirsten Corley, when they were children.
The Grammy-award-winner took to Instagram to share the story of his fairytale encounter. Posted just a few days before they are scheduled to wed this weekend, the story features a photo of Corley as a kid. Chance was 9 years old.

“‘Storytime. A thread on how I met my wife,'” he wrote in an Instagram post. “‘This photo was taken on the day that I first met my wife!'”
In a series of posts, Chance explained how his mother had taken him, his dad, and brother Taylor to an office party in 2003, and there was suppose to be an “an exclusive performance by DESTINY’s CHILD.”
Instead, there were a group of young girls performing the group’s song “Independent Women Part 1,” and that’s when he said he saw, “the prettiest girl I ever seen in my almost-a-decade of life on earth.”
He goes on to say, “I was just staring at her; as she and her girls were conquering this choreography and mastering the art of lip-syncing in a way even the most professional performers have yet to accomplish.”

He admits he didn’t even want to perform when his dad tried to get him to get us to dance since he was always considered an entertainer.
Chance said it wasn’t the time and place to do so, because he said, “I knew I was going to marry that girl. So I shook my head with anxiety, moved to the back of the crowd and never introduced myself.”
He added: “16 years later, it’s happening. This wkend is the time, and the place is my wedding. I’m gonna dance with my wife because this is my destiny.”
After making the post, Chance clarified that he didn’t meet Corley again until SXSW 2012 in Austin, Texas.
When they met then, he realized she was his childhood crush. She was also at the party because her mother was his mom’s boss.
Sixteen years later, they will soon be newlyweds.
