As if that wasn’t insulting enough, Barkley continued, “You can’t — one of them big ole women in San Antonio — they’d fly out the room.”
Barkley’s derogatory remarks didn’t sit well with fans.
“Charles Barkley look like the women in San Antonio he stay talkin about,” one person wrote.
“I can’t believe that in today’s society you’d allow your analyst to body shame an entire city of women!” another person said.
Another tweeted, “Charles Barkley honey we don’t say things like that anymore it’s 2019.”
Barkley has a thing about throwing insults.
Just last week, Barkley gots booed off stage at a Katy Perry concert for insulting the Timberwolves on their own home turf.
Barkley, who is known for his controversial statements, and very vocal sports analysis of NBA games has been an asset at the forefront during the NCAA tournament Final Four, The USA Today reports. So for that, Barkley gets a pat on the back.
However, Barkley may have barked a bit too much when he made a guest appearance at the Capital One JamFest in Minneapolis. He told a captive crowd that he loved the city then in the same breath insulted their NBA team.
“I want to thank Minneapolis, Minnesota. You guys have a great, great city. I want to thank y’all for a great weekend. I haven’t been here for a long time because the Timberwolves suck!”
