Joycelyn Savage, whose family appeared on the Surviving R. Kelly docu-series begging for her to return home, seems to have turned against her famous boyfriend R. Kelly.
Via two Instagram posts, Savage revealed that she has a story to tell and she’s going to tell it by way of Patreon, a site where fans pay for content from creatives. These were Savages first Instagram posts since 2017.

In the first recent post, Savage cryptically says she has something to say that should have been told a long time ago. She also offers an apology. The second Instagram post is a short video with Lizzo’s “Truth Hurts” playing in the background as the words “This is my truth” stream across the screen followed by a “Viewer discretion is advised” warning and finally the words “He always hated the truth.” The post ends with a link to her Patreon site.
The caption accompanying the second Instagram post notes that Savage is risking her life for many others.
Savage’s Patreon page offers access for as little as $3/month with options for a $9/month deal and $25/month VIP access, which includes LiveStream recording Q&As.
The about section of her page reads as follows:
My name is Joycelyn Savage, I am 24 years old, at 23 years old was really was a breaking point for me I was forced to do a lot of things. I am here to tell my story I will reveal information/secrets I’ve been sweared to not ever bring to light but I am willing to risk it all. This is my story on Mr. Kelly. Become a patron above and view my story, and see what I’ve been going through these past years.
Her first post, entitled “Where It All Started,” is available for purchase now. The Daily Beast accessed the content and reports that Savage details how controlling R. Kelly became soon after first meeting her when she was 17 years old.

According to the Daily Beast, the Patreon posts documents R. Kelly’s increasing control of Savage, from limiting her contact with family to only allowing her to call him by specified titles.
“After these couple of months Robert started giving me commands, and making sure I call him by certain names. Like ‘Master’ or ‘Daddy’ which I didn’t really care for at the time,” Savage reportedly wrote.
The Patreon post claims that R. Kelly told her she could be the next Aaliyah and dangled a music career in her face as a way to keep Savage under his power. “‘All this can stop today, you want a career? Or do you want to live a normal life,'” the singer allegedly told the now 24-year-old woman during her time with him.
R. Kelly is currently in prison in Chicago facing sexual abuse charges. It is unclear where Savage is or when/if she will offer more of her story.
