We all know that Kenya Moore has not had the best luck in dating, but one ex, in particular, stands out from the rest: Matt Jordan.
If that name is not familiar, you may have to take a trip on the way-back machine as he appeared on the Real Housewives of Atlanta ages ago and had fans of the show fearing for Moore’s safety as the camera’s caught his violent temper. Now Jordan is facing jail time for attacking his current girlfriend.

TMZ reported that Jordan punched his girlfriend in the face during an argument in Denny’s parking lot in Arizona and witnesses say he had also gotten in her face and snatched her cigarettes. Jordan had fled the scene by the time police arrived but was later caught trying to return to his girlfriend’s house.
He was charged with three misdemeanor counts: one for assault and 2 for disorderly conduct and each charge carries a maximum sentence of up to 6 months in prison, according to TMZ.

People reported that during the course of his time on the show, RHOA viewers saw Jordan; kick down a door in Moore’s hotel room, break the windows on her garage door, smash the glass in on the side door of her house, hit her driver, spray-paint her security cameras and bust out the back window of her car.
Moore took out a restraining order against Jordan in 2017.
These types of situations are terrifying considering Black women suffer disproportionately from domestic violence. A recent incident in Warren, Mich. on Nov. 18, turned deadly when 18-year-old Kevin Dixon shot and killed his girlfriend India Mackey after an argument in his van. WDIV reported that Mackey had even taken a video of Dixon moments before her death as Dixon wiped his fingerprints off the bullets he told her he was going to kill her with.
Dixon was arrested after driving erratically with Mackey’s body still in the vehicle. According to WDIV, Dixon was charged with first-degree murder, carrying a concealed weapon and a felony firearm violation.
