JR Smith’s wife hits social media, uses prayer to call out alleged affair with actress Candice Patton

Jewel Harris took to Instagram to pray not only for herself but also for 'The Flash' actress, apparently confirming rumors around her husband's infidelities

Amid rumors of her husband’s infidelity, Jewel Harris, the wife of former Cleveland Cavaliers guard, JR Smith, aired out the couple’s dirty laundry on social media and now her post has gone viral.

According to Heavy.com, on Tuesday, Harris shared an extended in-car prayer session on Instagram, that included some incredibly specific details about the NBA star’s alleged affair with The Flash actress Candice Patton.

Viewers took the video to be a confirmation of the rumors that have been swirling about a relationship between Smith and Patton, as they watched the emotional mother of four grasp to make sense of her predicament.

“It’s a battle, it’s an obstacle,” Harris says in the video. “It hurts, it’s unfortunate, but that’s what it is.”

“God is mad wild,” she opined. “There’s a lot going on . . . Help me God. So, as I was taking Demi to school, God was like ‘Yeah, you gonna pray and you’re gonna post it.'”

Harris, who married Smith in August of 2016, then went on to say that she prayed he find the right path in life, and also prays for Patton, who is best known for playing the role of Iris West on the popular CW superhero series.

“God, I would like to lift my husband up and ask you, Lord Father God, to please just cover him with your blood,” she continued. “I ask in the mighty name of Jesus that you go to him where he is right now and you shake him up, God. You shake him up and you stir him up . . . I ask that wherever he is broke, you fix him [and] you heal him.”

“My husband, he’s hurting and Candice, she’s hurting . . . For her to go out here, Father God, and seek a married man, I just pray that you give her grace and mercy through all of this,” she said.

The following morning, Smith posted an Instagram story stating that he had decided to separate from his wife, explaining, “IG ain’t a place for relationships!! But God told me to tell y’all I’ve been separated for months he doesn’t understand why his child failed to mention that… #Thatsall.”

Smith played 16 seasons in the NBA, including five for the Cavaliers, in which he was part of their 2016 championship team with LeBron James. He was waived from the team after the 2018-19 season.
