Tamar Braxton remains in the hospital after what has been reported as a suicide attempt. The reason behind it is said to be unhappiness with her portrayal on Braxton Family Values, particularly the revelation that she was sexually abused played out on the WE tv reality show.

Now her boyfriend, David Adefeso, who made the frantic 911 call on July 16 when he found her unresponsive at a Los Angeles Ritz-Carlton hotel where the couple was staying, says that he’ll remain by her side whatever happens.

He told The Blast that Braxton, 43, was receiving the best medical attention to improve her mental health. In a statement provided to the site, Adefeso said that depression was part of the challenge that Braxton is dealing with.

“On behalf of Tamar Braxton, I want to thank her fans and the public for the ongoing thoughts and prayers. Tamar is a beautifully talented woman, a devoted mother, a loving girlfriend, a dear sister and a special friend to countless people,” the statement read.

The statement continued with what a hard time it is for the family.

“This is an extremely difficult time for Tamar and her family as she navigates professional and personal struggles including her battle with depression,” the statement read.

“Tamar is currently receiving the best available medical attention to address those struggles and strengthen her mental health, and her family and I will remain by her side throughout her treatment.”

As reported by theGrio, LAPD officers reported to the Ritz-Carlton at approximately 9:45 p.m. to respond to a medical emergency on July 16. Braxton was then transferred to a hospital and has been moved since to a treatment facility, according to one of Braxton’s reps.

On the 911 call, Adefeso can be heard crying as he told a dispatcher that his girlfriend was “not responding,” lamented the show’s impact on Braxton, and asked first responders to hurry. He said that she was angry with “the company she’s working with” and started crying, referencing the “f–ing network.”

“At what point are you really free? They’ve taken away her happiness, everything,” he said to the dispatcher.
