Kandi hires ‘COVID-free’ dancers in glass box for husband’s birthday
The Xscape lead singer hopes that 'this is one of the happiest birthdays' of his life despite not the couple not being able to travel
Reality star Kandi Burruss helped her husband, Todd Tucker, celebrate his birthday safely amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Burruss threw Tucker a private birthday party where guests were social distancing and dancers performed behind glass partitions.
“When you want to have dancers, but you want to have it COVID-free,” Burrus said in a since-deleted video clip on her Instagram story.
Burruss also shared multiple posts celebrating her husband of six years. “The birthday boy had a great time last night,” she captioned a post from the party.
In every photo, guests were seen wearing protective masks.
She also shared a video tribute to her husband on Instagram, saying, “Happy Birthday babe!!!! I love you so much @todd167! You get better every year & I’m enjoying every minute of growing with you. You’re a genius babe! You keep life interesting with all of your bright ideas & you make my heart smile. Enjoy your day my love!”
“I just want to say it’s crazy how many birthdays we’ve been together and celebrated together thus far, but now we’re celebrating it in quarantine — or in the midst of all of that stuff,” she said. “Through it all, I’m glad I have you. I’m glad I have our family and I know no matter what is happening in the world, I am blessed to have you as my husband.”
Burruss added, “I hope that this is one of the happiest birthdays even though we’re not able to travel as much and do all the stuff that we normally do. I hope it’s just as much fun.”
The Xscape lead singer and her hubby have been married for six years. The couple has two children together and are also raising her daughter from a previous relationship.
Kandi Burruss has been enjoying renewed media interest since she showed up in a recurring role on the Showtime series, The Chi, as Rosalyn Perry.
The busy mom and entrepreneur has been a cast member of Real Housewives of Atlanta since its first season in 2008.
