Master P clears the air on C-Murder efforts after rebuke from Monica: This is about ‘Big Mama’
The rapper and businessman clarifies his thoughts on efforts by Monica and Kim Kardashian to help get his brother, C-Murder, released from prison
Master P has been vocal about the newfound attention his brother C-Murder has received in regards to his prison sentence.
The incarcerated rapper has expressed love and gratitude for singer Monica, his former girlfriend, and Kim Kardashian since the two celebrities pledged to overturn his conviction.
C-Murder, whose real name is Corey Miller, is serving a life sentence for the 2002 murder of a 16-year-old teenager. He has maintained his innocence and appealed the conviction.
Master P, given name Percy Miller, on Friday expressed his ire about C-Murder and spoke on the efforts by Monica, whose full name is Monica Arnold, and Kardashian to get him released instead of members of his family.
“If any of y’all have any relatives who’s been incarcerated that you know is ungrateful, then you probably understand this, especially when you did everything you could do, like my mom, my dad, my sisters, my brothers, aunties, uncles,” the rapper and record producer said the video post.
According to Complex, the No Limit founder tagged Monica, Kardashian and Silkk the Shocker, Master P’s other brother, in the Instagram message in which he questioned C-Murder’s fondness for Monica.
The roughly seven minute video clip has been removed from Master P’s Instagram page, but was preserved by celebrity news and gossip site BallerAlert.
Monica responded to the video in a since-deleted Instagram post that was screengrabbed by BallerAlert.
“I have been respectful towards you and you have refused to do the same! You can NOT speak on me because you do not know me!” she wrote.
She continued: “I have only conversed with Silkk! This matter is between you MEN, you’re brothers! Leave me out of this because my efforts have BEEN the same! I just didn’t see the need to post it! Check the visiting lists from The Parish to Angola to Hunts or better yet ask his children!
“You responded before you READ! He’s never not (been) able to hit me, my mother or brother, and get what he needs! FOCUS ON HIS FREEDOM!”
After some back and forth posting between the two in the comments, Master P then released a new video late Friday night, apologizing to Monica.
“I know Monica got drawn in this, and I apologize to shorty because i really don’t know you like that and i hope you got the right agenda and the right heart to help my brother because he needs it,” he said before turning his ire toward C-Murder.
“Imagine everything you do is to help your family, and it’s just not enough. They’re ungrateful, then they look at you like you’re just an ATM machine or a piece of money,” he continued. “We love my brother, I love my brother. I want C to come home, but this is about my [late] grandmother, Big Mama,” who cared for C-Murder and was never acknowledged for it.
