LisaRaye calls out sister Da Brat on air: ‘Y’all don’t know s—t’
LisaRaye said she has not spoken to Da Brat in months
The ladies on Fox Soul’s talk show Cocktails with Queens were not prepared for the level of realism that erupted when they tried to reunite sisters Da Brat and LisaRaye McCoy.
The rapper and actress share a father but have not spoken since before the mandatory quarantine this past spring. The ladies of Cocktails with Queens were trying to surprise LisaRaye for her 53rd birthday by inviting her sister on the show but the joke was on them when LisaRaye began to cry in the video uploaded on Monday.

“Punk, you know how much I love you. You know how much you mean to me,” said Da Brat. “You know since I was a child you’ve always been there. You always gave me good advice.”
The actress did not hold back. She began to cry incessantly and told the ladies of the show Vivica A. Fox, Syleena Johnson, and Claudia Jordan that she was hurt. As reported by theGrio, Da Brat confirmed earlier this year that she is in a relationship with entrepreneur Jesseca Dupart after years of speculation the rapper dated women.
In regards to her sister’s new relationship, LisaRaye said, “I will say this, I am happy for you. I am glad that you are living in your truth. … For you to be so happy and so vibrant, that is a blessing. I appreciate you coming out and verbally saying happy birthday to me in this kind of way, because I (expletive) sho’ ain’t heard from you in months.”

The moment quickly turned sour when LisaRaye began to reflect on how long it has been since she has spoken with her sister. Her castmates tried to stop her from talking but LisaRaye cut them off.
“I don’t give a (expletive) what y’all saying at all,” LisaRaye exclaimed as Da Brat looked uncomfortable. The actress continued, “Y’all don’t know (expletive) at all. She do. You do. You do.”
Da Brat has yet to further comment on the interaction.
