‘RHOP’ spin-off starring Karen Huger announced at Bravo

While fans await the return of The Real Housewives of Potomac which is heading into its seventh season, Bravo announced a new spinoff, The Real Housewives of Potomac: Karen’s Grande Dame Reunion.

Since The Real Housewives of Potomac first premiered on Bravo, fans have followed the exploits of Karen Huger, one of the show’s OGs, but now the ‘Grande Dame’ will take center stage. Premiering in April, the new show will center around the reality personality as she goes home to Surry County, Virginia for an epic family reunion.

“We’re about to have our first family reunion,” she says in the trailer, which shows Huger, her husband Ray, and daughter Rayvin reuniting with Huger’s extended family. However, in the midst of reunion planning lies conflict over family land, which they’ve owned since their ancestors settled after slavery.

The Real Housewives of Potomac: Karen’s Grande Dame Reunion will introduce fans to other members of Huger’s family who are entertaining in their own right, including Aunt Val, who, as Huger explains in the trailer, took over the land after the passing of Huger’s father.

“We have family land that we could lose, and that’s what I don’t want,” Aunt Val states in the clip.

Huger adds, “What would be the next step for protecting what Granddaddy, Daddy, everybody fought for so hard? Who steps up?”

In spite of those concerns, there is also some family fun and plenty of laughs to go around in the trailer.

In a voiceover at the end, Huger says, “I am making sure that we maintain what they sacrificed their lives for. The Wooden Farm.”
