Red carpet recap: the 2023 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

On the film industry's biggest night, the annual Vanity Fair Oscar Party is Hollywood's fashionable farewell to awards season. So, who hit the carpet this year?

The film industry loves a Hollywood ending. After a flurry of ceremonies celebrating entertainers across industries, the 2023 awards season came to a close on Sunday night with the 95th Academy Awards. However, the revelry didn’t end with the final statuette awarded; among the night’s many star-studded Oscar parties — including Byron Allen’s Oscar Gala — the most fashionable fête in town was the 2023 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, where celebrities made the red carpet their runway.

For fashion lovers, Vanity Fair’s annual event arguably eclipses the Oscars red carpet, rivaling only the Met Gala as celebs across film, television, music, sports, fashion, and more converge, all dressed to the nines. Oscar nominees and presenters often use the moment to show off a second (or in some cases, third) look of the night. For others, it’s an opportunity to showcase their own star power. Regardless of the reason, it’s always a good look.

So, who made Vanity Fair’s step-and-repeat this year? Too many A-listers to list here, but as always, theGrio’s eyes were on everyone Black. Check out our gallery below (arranged in no particular order) to see which of your faves got a coveted invite — and who shut awards season down.
