Cardi B and Stefon Diggs may have had two vastly different experiences at the Super Bowl on Sunday, but there’s one thing they have in common after the big game: not following one another on Instagram.
Several internet sleuths noted that the couple, who welcomed a baby boy in November, decided to take their relationship offline. It’s unclear if the move on both parties occurred before or after the New England Patriots’ wide receiver logged three catches for 37 yards in the 29-13 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
Meanwhile, as Diggs played on the field, Cardi was also part of the game, joining actors Pedro Pascal and Jessica Alba, musicians Karol G, Young Miko during Bad Bunny’s historic performance.
Ahead of Sunday’s big game, interviewers captured Cardi on the red carpet ahead of the YouTube Super Bowl Flag Football Game and asked her if she had any words of encouragement for Diggs. The “Bodega Baddie” rapper kept her response brief.
“Good luck,” she told the interviewer. The moment was a complete contrast from her interview in Denver after the AFC Championship, where Diggs’ Patriots beat the Denver Broncos to earn the right to play for an NFL championship title.
There, Cardi, in her Bronx flair, went viral for admitting she was delivering commentary while drunk on air, detailing her Super Bowl experience, which involved being at all the parties and having a blast.
“I just came from a party. I took like seven shots. I’m lit. Y’all talkin’ to me and I’m drunk as a motherf—r,” she said on air. Later, after a moment of realizing she was still on a broadcast, she asked her fellow panelists, “Am I cussing too much?”
Despite the good time in California for Cardi, Diggs has plenty to answer for now that the football season has concluded. He’s due in court over felony strangulation and assault charges stemming from an incident with his former chef in December, where he allegedly choked her using his elbow after an altercation over payment for her services.
His arraignment on the case was rescheduled from Jan. 23 to Feb. 13, allowing him to play for the Patriots throughout the playoffs and avoid the NFL’s Commissioner’s Exempt List.
Diggs’ lawyer, David Meier, released a statement on his behalf, denying the allegations.
“Stefon Diggs categorically denies these allegations. They are unsubstantiated, uncorroborated, and were never investigated — because they did not occur. The timing and motivation for making the allegations is crystal clear: they are the direct result of an employee-employer financial dispute that was not resolved to the employee’s satisfaction. Stefon looks forward to establishing the truth in a court of law.”
Diggs was recently sued for an unrelated matter, as a man alleged Diggs was responsible for him being assaulted in a Miami nightclub in December 2025. The individual, who claimed he had worked for Diggs in 2024, was supposed to transport a Ferrari from New York to Miami to Houston, but the car was ultimately stolen by a third party. The man says Diggs falsely accused him of the theft and then, the man was allegedly assaulted by men affiliated with Diggs while his younger brother, Trevon Diggs, watched.
The man reportedly suffered numerous injuries, including a torn ACL, in the altercation. Diggs has yet to respond to the lawsuit.
