An alleged bar bandit was stopped in his tracks after attempting to rob a bar filled with off-duty police officers.

The incident happened in a Janesville, Wisconsin bar on Sunday.

Surveillance tape shows a person walking into the bar. The next thing you know, he’s being tackled by several men.

Turns out the man was wearing a bandana in the robbery attempt and the bar was filled with off-duty officers in town for a golf tournament.

The suspect was immediately tackled and taken into custody.

The bartender couldn’t believe what was happening.

“I heard someone yell, ‘You gotta be kidding me’ from this end of the bar. I turned around in time to see them grab a masked man and put him down on the ground,” said bartender Joe Collins.

Janesville police booked the man on charges of disorderly conduct and parole violations.
