This is the second monkey I saw on the island of Cebu. He wasn’t very playful but he seemed to have a thing for mangoes. He must know the island of Cebu is known for their sweet mangoes. (Photo by Marcus Aurelius Higgs)

This slideshow chronicles the travels of two African-American men in the Philippines. For both of them, the Philippines stands out among other Southeast Asian countries because of the lively culture and the unique geography. The photos here don’t begin to describe the beauty of the country.

For those planning a trip to the Philippines this year, bear in mind that January, May and December are the best months to visit. Make sure to visit multiples destinations. Airfare from island to island is fairly cheap.
