  • 2) I Am Legend (2007): In arguably one of his greatest dramatic performances, Smith held the screen virtually all by himself for most of this apocalyptic thriller's running time. He plays a military scientist who may or may not be the last man on the planet. A scary good time at the movies.

It’s hard enough growing old, but imagine going gray as the president of the United States. Perhaps a box of “Just for Men” might help Obama. (AP Photo/Pablo Martinez Monsivais)

Immigration reform. Obama probably got many of those gray hairs thinking about how to change U.S. immigration laws. It would be great if reform could be enacted in time for his 51st birthday. (AP Image)

On his 50th birthday, President Obama seems to have a lot to be grateful for. After a long debate, the debt ceiling increase was finally passed, narrowly averting a government financial default.

He enjoyed some pre-birthday celebrations at a $35,000 per person dinner/fundraiser and topped off the night at a star studded concert birthday concert starring Jennifer Hudson, Herbie Hancock and celebrity supporters. Today, he plans to celebrate this milestone birthday with close family and friends at the White House.

But no birthday, especially a 50th birthday, is complete without presents. Here are a few birthday gift ideas we think the president is really wishing for.
