'Watch the Throne' takes second place after 'Michael Jackson: The Immortal'

The legacy of Michel Jackson will never be forgotten and his name is still bringing turning a huge profit. Cirque de Soelil’s tribute concert to Jackson, “Michael Jackson: The Immortal”, has made more than $2 million dollars in the past three months. Many people compared the magnitude of the concert to Jay-Z and Kanye’s “Watch the Throne” tour. Jay-Z and Kanye’s concerts have earned 1.9 million. The Huffington Post reports:

Michael Jackson may have passed away, but that doesn’t mean his name — and music — aren’t bringing in millions at the box office.

“Michael Jackson: The Immortal,” Cirque du Soleil’s tribute to the late singer brought in an astounding $2,362,502 over the past three months — more than any other touring concert act.

This comes as good news for Michael Jackson’s estate, after hackers stole the entirety of his musical catalog from Sony’s computer systems earlier this week.

Kanye West and Jay-Z’s “Watch The Throne” tour came in second, earning $1,902,032 at an average ticket price of $112.94 per ticket.
