“Ni**gas In Paris”, the infectious hit off Kanye West and Jay-Z’s opus Watch the Throne has spawned numerous parodies and imitations, now pop star Katy Perry is getting into the act. During a performance at BBC Radio 1’sLive Lounge, she put her own unique spin on the rap song. Huffington Post reports:

Katy Perry has covered Kanye West and Jay-Z’s rap hit, ‘N****s In Paris.’

The 27-year-old singer brought out the surprise cover on BBC’s Radio 1 Live Lounge, rapping over a semi-acoustic version of the hip hop duo’s 2011 club banger from Watch The Throne.

The cover sounds a bit thin, but it’s a valiant effort from a singer who is better known for songs with lyrics like “baby, you’re a firework.”
