From NBC New York: Trayvon Martin’s mother met briefly with the mother of a New Jersey teenager fatally shot by police officers last December at an event in Harlem Saturday night, The Record reports.
Malik Williams, 19, of Garfield, was shot multiple times by police officers after running out of a police station and found hiding out in a garage armed with tools last December.
The officers involved filed reports saying Williams used blunt objects and a cutting object in a threatening or attacking manner, and the officers fired at him several times, according to The Record. He died later that evening.
