Whitney Houston will be honored during the upcoming 2012 Billboard Music Awards. The ceremony, which airs Sunday at 8/7c, will feature a musical tribute, and Houston’s daughter Bobbi Kristina is scheduled to participate.

There is no word yet as to what elements the tribute will include, or what Bobbi Kristina’s role will be.

This is not the first awards show to honor the life of the iconic songstress. Earlier this year, the Grammy Awards, BET Celebration of Gospel and the NAACP Image Awards paid homage to Houston.

R&B singers Brandy, Monica and Gladys Knight will be on hand as presenters during the Billboard Music Awards, and Chris Brown, Usher, and Justin Beiber are scheduled to perform.

Stevie Wonder will be honored along with Houston, for his distinguished achievements in the music industry, and will receive an Icon Award.
