NBC Connecticut – A little girl shared her frightening story on Tuesday night, after she was allegedly held hostage inside her New Haven home.

Police said they tried pulling over a suspect on Tuesday to question him about a felony investigation, but he took off.  That’s when he allegedly ran into that residence at 384 Orchard Street and put everyone inside in a panic.

“I was scared; this never happened…ever,” said nine year old Nyquasia Allen Moye.  “I thought I was going to die.”

Moye says the man opened up her apartment door around 5 p.m. on Tuesday night and found her standing in the hallway.

“I think I was going to die. He said ‘Come here, come here’ and then I started to run,” Moye said.

Once she ran, she said the man picked her up and carried her and a friend upstairs. Then he broke into another apartment.
