Rihanna tweeted words of support to her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown before his probation hearing yesterday.  The “Talk that Talk” singer tweeted: “I’m praying for you and wishing u the best today!”  Brown responded with, “thank u so much.”

Brown entered court Monday morning in Los Angeles for a probation progress hearing after he pleaded guilty in 2009 to the felony battery of then-girlfriend Rihanna.

According to TMZ, during the hearing, information that Brown had tested positive for marijuana during a drug test in Virginia was revealed.  Brown has a medical marijuana prescription in California, but any form of the drug is illegal in VA.

All eyes were on Rihanna and Chris Brown earlier this month as they shared a kiss on stage at the MTV Video Music Awards, but the current nature of their relationship is hotly debated.  They are reportedly just close friends, but speculation that they are romantically linked continues.

During a recent interview with Oprah Winfrey, Rihanna referred to Brown as “the love of her life.”

After her tweet mentioning Chris Brown, Rihanna tweeted again, but didn’t directly mention Brown by name:

The judge at his hearing decided to let Brown off with a warning.  Yet she pointedly mentioned that he is in the public eye and that he has a lot of young fans who look up to him.
