President Barack Obama recently revealed that he and the first family often enjoy watching Parks and Recreation together.

“When our family gets together to watch TV, we usually watch shows like Modern Family and Parks and Recreation because they give us a good laugh,” he said.

President Obama talked to TV Guide about his, Michelle, Malia and Sasha’s favorite television showsHomeland, The Wire, Modern Family and Boardwalk Empire were also on the list, but it seems Parks and Recreation ranks high with the family.

In March 2012, Obama told one of the stars on the show, comedian Aziz Ansari, that he had fans in the White House.

“Aziz Ansari … now this is big because Malia is a big Parks and Recreation fan,” the president said at a fundraiser in New York. “So having Aziz here is like the only thing she thinks is worth me doing.”

The Obamas aren’t the only ones in Washington, D.C. who love the NBC series. Senators John McCain, Olympia Snowe and Barbara Boxer appeared in the season five premiere.

The president also said in the interview that he watches SportsCenter when he works out.
