The backlash over Rick Ross’ controversial “U.O.E.N.O.” lyric referencing date rape continues to build and now one of hip-hop’s more conscious rappers is calling out the Miami rapper.

Brooklyn rapper and activist Talib Kweli has never been known to bite his tongue and if you follow his Twitter feed, you already know he’s one of the more outspoken artists in the music industry. He’s also involved multiple charities geared towards education in the black community.

During a Huffington Post Live segment, Kweli addressed the Ross’ line about drugging a woman to take her home.

“Rick Ross condoned rape in that song … and he should apologize, and his apology that he offered was unacceptable.” said Kweli.

Rick Ross recently appeared at a New Orleans radio station where he acknowledged his poor choice of words and claimed it was all a misunderstanding, but Kweli felt that response didn’t do the situation justice.

“I don’t care if Rick Ross is 40 years old,”said the Reflection Eternal rapper. “He’s a misguided 40-year-old person.”
