Paula Deen has recently faced criticism after admitting she’s used racial slurs, including the n-word, in the past — but the celebrity chef does have one famous African-American ally in her corner.
Actress Stacey Dash came to Deen’s defense and posted a tweet yesterday, which read: “God does everything for a reason @Paula_Deen Only God can judge your heart BTW my daughter loves your show (only way she can get me to cook).”
Now, the Clueless star is taking heat from a lot of people on social media.
One follower wrote, “@REALStaceyDash is so sad I believe in her mind she really wants to be a confederate loving southern white woman #SellOut”
Another tweeted, “@REALStaceyDash You are stupid and ignorant for defending Paula Deen. I am highly offended. You have just lost one of your biggest fans.”
“Her attitude & beliefs about race relations and politics are troubling. Her spirit wreaks [sic] of self-hatred. Not a fan of @REALStaceyDash,” wrote @NDCollins.
