TODAY – She was born just more than two months ago, but it wasn’t until Friday morning that the world finally got its first look at North West.

Proud papa Kanye West visited Kris Jenner’s self-titled talk show for its season finale and shared his thoughts about life with Kim Kardashian — and a photo of his pride and joy.

“She’s beautiful,” Jenner, Kardashian’s mom boasted. “She has Kim’s eyes. … It’s so cute the way you’re so obsessed with this baby.”

Before that big reveal, West simply talked love.

“It’s hard for anyone to find love, especially … if you’re famous, or as they call me, polarizing,” West told Jenner.

But the rapper knew he wanted to find love with Kardashian in particular.

“There’s times when I wasn’t with her, I wanted to be with her so bad I thought about taking up sports,” he said, nodding to Kardashian’s reputation for dating (and marrying) sports stars.

Of course, he didn’t have to go to that length. As it turned out, Kardashian cared for him too. And in June, they welcomed their first child together.

“It takes time to understand,” West said of his new bundle of joy. “You met a brand new person.”

Not that it took long for him to get to know North — and want to protect her.

“The thing I think about as a dad is just protection,” he admitted. “My only goal is to protect my daughter. That’s my instinct.”

This new life of his marks a fresh role for West — and a new brand.

“Me and my girlfriend’s mother are of different brands in a way,” he said of Jenner. “It’s not about anybody being at odds. It’s about us all helping each other and improving each other. … The way I talk to people (is) too sharp, sometimes it’s hard for me to make small talk. It’s hard for me to ask what the weather is like. That’s what your family and Kim is teaching me, being a better person.

“There’s only one brand now, and that’s family,” he added.
