Meagan Good defends her cleavage-bearing gowns

theGRIO REPORT - Meagan Good stopped by The Wendy Williams Show to share her thoughts on a number of hot button issues - which included a discussion of some of her cleavage-bearing gowns.

Meagan Good has been traveling nationwide promoting her latest film, Anchorman 2: The Legend Returns.

Along the way, she stopped by The Wendy Williams Show to sit-down with the talk-show host and share her thoughts on a number of hot-button issues — which included a discussion on some of her cleavage-bearing gowns.

Good, who married preacher and Hollywood producer DeVon Franklin in 2012, has received backlash for some of the dresses she has worn on the red carpet.

One deep-cut blue gown she wore to the BET Awards in June sparked negative commentary on Twitter as users attacked Good for wearing such a revealing gown considering her connections to Christianity.

Good later continued the trend and wore a similar dress with a plunging neckline to the premiere of Anchorman 2 last week.

However, despite the criticism, Good told Williams that although she may be a real-life preacher’s wife, she’s content in not having everyone agree with her fashion choices.

“It’s an interesting thing because a lot of the backlash has come from the Christian community,” Good said. “But there is no me and them, there’s only us. We’re all a part of the same community.”

“And at the end of the day, I think for me, I grew up in this business since I was a little girl. I was walking the red carpet since I was 13 so what I might view as appropriate or OK, somebody else might feel differently and I think that’s OK.”

Good went on to say that her husband has provided nothing but support and encouragement along the way: “My husband is awesome, he’s so supportive.”
