Now that Fruitvale Station star Michael B. Jordan has been officially cast as The Human Torch in an upcoming Fantastic Four reboot, he will have to contend with comic books fans who don’t approve of his casting.

Similar to what Idris Elba faced when he assumed the role of Heimdall in Thor, Jordan has been besieged with complaints about how his character was originally conceived as Caucasian.

TMZ caught up with Jordan recently, to get his thoughts on the backlash.

“They’re still going to go see it anyway,” quipped Jordan.

The new Fantastic Four movie is due to hit theaters in 2015.
