In another twist to the Donald Sterling saga, an aspiring rapper has come forward claiming he helped the Clippers owner date and have sex with women.

The Daily Mail secured taped conversations that lasted over two hours with a rapper named Maserati. Portions of the recordings were posted on the Mail’s website this week. The rapper claims he was a friend to the troubled businessman.

In an interview late Wednesday night with CNN’s Don Lemon, Maserati says he’s known Sterling for five to six years.

Maserati told Lemon he never considered Sterling a “racist” before the V. Stiviano recordings were released by TMZ. He told Lemon Sterling’s comments “upset him.”

When asked by Lemon if Sterling had a preference for certain women, Maserati told the host the billionaire preferred his women “light-skinned.”

Maserati said he felt no guilt when he released his taped conversations to the public.

“I didn’t take [Sterling’s] initial apology seriously,” he said. “He said he was just trying to have sex with [Stiviano], but he went a little too far just to hate that much. You don’t have to say that much to get a girl to lay down with you.”
