Legendary songstress Patti LaBelle celebrated her 70th birthday Monday night among close friends and family at Cara Mia restaurant in New Jersey.

The multiple Grammy winner’s actual birthday is May 24, but due to a rigorous rehearsal schedule for her performance in Broadway’s After Midnight,  LaBelle opted to postpone her party.

The celebration was late but nonetheless epic.

Oscar winner Whoopi Goldberg and fashion icon André Leon Talley were among some of the celebrities in attendance for LaBelle’s bash, which was sponsored by Korbel Champagne.

One of the most memorable moments of the night was LaBelle and Goldberg dancing to Tupac Shakur’s “California Love.”

Later, LaBelle serenaded her guests with her disco hit, “Music is My Way of Life,” a song from her 1979 album It’s Alright With Me.
