theGRIO REPORT - More than 60 people were shot in Chicago over the Fourth of July weekend.

More than 60 people were shot in Chicago this past Fourth of July weekend.

At least seven people died as a result of the gunfire.

Eleven people were shot in a span of just four hours on Sunday afternoon, according to NBC Chicago.

There were five police-involved shootings during the weekend.

A 16-year-old boy was among the five who were shot by police. The teen allegedly pointed his weapon in the direction of officers who then fired on him. The teen was pronounced dead at the scene.
