Young boy, King Nahh, speaks to fathers on need to be in kids’ lives

Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

A video released on YouTube by a young boy encourages fathers to be a part of their children’s lives.

“I don’t do these videos to offend anybody,” the 8-year-old King Nahh says at the start of the video, “but I asked you guys to give me topics…and someone told me to talk about fathers. So that’s what I’m going to talk about.”

Nahh then goes on to explain that fathers need to be there more for their children. He emphasizes the importance of father-son sit-down talks throughout the video, at one point explaining that while mothers can help their sons, there are certain things only a father can teach.

Nahh talks about his experiences with his own father, saying that, “My father never had a father. But he told me about it and never gave up on me and every time he would sit down and talk to me, he would talk to me about everything. And plus, he would encourage me.” He then says later, “I would’ve never been the kid that I am today if my father wasn’t there for me.”

Nahh ends the video with, “Let’s do better, let’s be better. Peace.”

According to the text at the beginning of the video, King Nahh is “an actor who loves to inspire parents and children. He says children should have fun and learning should be creative. Join King Nahh today as he teach[es] about learning, love, family, safety, community involvement, creativity, and how to have fun.”

The end of the video also indicates that King Nahh is available to perform and speak at various events.

Topic requests for future videos can be sent to Nahh’s Twitter account @King_Nahh.
