Throughout the month of January, the Oprah Winfrey Network is paying tribute to civil rights legends and the 50th anniversary of the historic Selma to Montgomery marches led by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Monday, in honor of MLK Day, OWN will air a 90-second promo, Because of Dr. King.

In a clip of the promo provided exclusively to theGrio, celebrities including Jennifer Hudson, Whoopi Goldberg, John Legend, Lionel Ritchie, Ava DuVernay, Phylicia Rashad, Kimberly Elise, Patti LaBelle and many more open up about the impact of Dr. King’s legacy on their lives.

“Because of Dr. King, I get to live a life so big, so beautiful, so filled with grace and blessings that I couldn’t even have dreamed it, and because of Dr. King I get to help other people do the same,” Oprah says.

Light Girls is the sequel to Bill Duke’s 2011 documentary, Dark Girls. The documentary addresses the privileges and disadvantages of having lighter skin and features interviews with Soledad O’Brien, Iyanla Vanzant, Diahann Carroll, Tatyana Ali, Amber Rose, India Arie and Raven-Symoné.
