Bobbi Kristina said to have been 'obsessed' with anniversary of mother's death
Bobbi Kristina is said to have been “seemingly obsessed” with the third anniversary of her mother’s death, according to a “family insider” who spoke to the Chicago Sun Times. “She talked more about that anniversary than her recent first wedding anniversary,” they’re quoted as saying.
“There are increasingly obvious indications that Bobbi Kristina is bipolar, and that explains a lot about her mood swings, her ongoing battle with depression and her use of drugs over the past couple of years,” the source added.
Doctors have told the family of Bobbi Kristina that she has “significantly diminished” brain function, according to TMZ. Sources “connected with the family” have told the entertainment news site that it does not look good. The site also says that doctors have told the family to continue to hope and pray.
Doctors have placed Bobbi Kristina in a medically induced coma to prevent brain swelling. A family member told Entertainment Tonight that the 21-year-old has been placed on a ventilator. The machine is used on patients who are unable to completely breathe on their own.
Saturday evening her father, Bobby Brown, arrived at her bedside. People Magazine has quoted their family source as saying the 90’s R&B star is “inconsolable” over the situation involving his daughter and that this is “his worst nightmare.”
However, Sunday evening Brown did released his first statement regarding this tragedy involving his only child by the late Whitney Houston.

Saturday morning, rescue workers were sent to Bobbi Kristina’s home in Roswell, Georgia, at 10:25am after her husband, Nick Gordon, and a friend found her in the bathtub face down. The two tried to administer CPR. Police arrived on the scene and also tried to resuscitate Brown until the Roswell Fire and Rescue personnel arrived.
Bobbi Kristina most recently made headlines when she and her family criticized Angela Bassett for her depiction of Whitney Houston in a Lifetime biopic. The made-for-TV movie aired two weeks ago.
Nearly three years ago to the day, 48-year-old Whitney Houston was found face down and unresponsive in a hotel bathtub. Her death on Feb. 11, 2012, was attributed to drowning, but authorities also said that heart disease and cocaine were contributing factors. Dozens of prescription drug bottles were found in Houston’s hotel suite.
ET says a source close to the family told them that it’s “no coincidence” that Bobbi Kristina was found in circumstances that resembled her mother’s death. They said that Brown’s troubles are “a lot deeper than everyone can see.”
