Raven-Symoné slams Caitlyn Jenner on behalf of gay community for doing 'too much, too fast'

theGRIO REPORT - Raven-Symoné says she thinks Caitlyn Jenner is moving too fast with advocating for gay and lesbian rights...

Raven-Symoné said on Monday’s episode of The View that perhaps Caitlyn Jenner was doing too much too fast for the LGBT community.

Symoné said, “I think it’s wonderful, and yes, it needs a light being shined on it.”

But then she went on to express her doubts about how much Jenner had shared as well as how quickly. She said that the first episode of the documentary series I am Cait was a lot to take in and was packed with so much that it was hard to process.

“When I came out, I didn’t go and go hardcore and be like, ‘I’m going to save the world for LGBT,’” she said. “You’ve got to learn it. You’ve got to learn it first.”

Rosie Perez then pointed out that the series might have been the proper venue that Jenner was waiting for in order to tell her story, noting that it was likely Jenner needed to find something that would let her tell her story in full and on her terms.

Symoné conceded that point and then said that it would be interesting to see future episodes of the series to see just how much of the story Jenner is able to tell and how quickly.
