'Love & Hip Hop' rapper reportedly shunned by cast because he's gay

theGRIO REPORT - Milan Christopher, the newest star of VH1's 'Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood,' is reportedly being shunned by other cast members because of his sexual orientation.

Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

Milan Christopher, the newest star of VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood, is reportedly being shunned by other cast members because of his sexual orientation.

VH1 says that for the first time the Love & Hip Hop franchise will feature and intimate relationship with two men, rappers Miles and rapper/model Milan Christopher.

LA native Miles, aka Sir Brock, is a rapper and songwriter in the hip hop industry. Miles, who struggles with the conflict between his Christian upbringing and his relationship with Milan, also fears the repercussions he may face from the hip hop industry for being in a same sex relationship.

As a very successful entrepreneur, rapper/producer and model, Milan is on top of the world. The only thing that could make his life happier is if he could get his boyfriend, Miles to live openly with him and start a family.

According to TMZ, Milan Christopher has been filming for 3 weeks, but the majority of rappers on the show including Ray J, Soulja Boy and Mally Mall are shunning him.

Christopher believes it’s because he’s an openly gay rapper.

His co-stars, however, allegedly “believe Christopher was hired as a ‘sideshow’ and a ‘circus’ in order to boost falling ratings. They are also upset because he is a rapper with no credibility, and they believe he is a joke.”

At least three rappers on the show have reportedly spoken to producers to make it clear that they do not want to shoot with Christopher and that they do not want to be present at parties or events with him.

VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood returns Monday, September 7 at 8/7C.
