Wife of Dolphins' cornerback Brent Grimes arrested, allegedly head-butted cop
Miko Grimes, wife of Miami Dolphins' cornerback Brent Grimes, was arrested Sunday before the Dolphins game.
Miko Grimes, wife of Miami Dolphins’ cornerback Brent Grimes, was arrested Sunday before the Dolphins took on the Buffalo Bills in Miami.
According to NBC Miami, Grimes was walking into traffic and ignored an order to stop by police. Officials said that she began screaming profanities and charged an officer while flailing her arms. She was also accused of kicking and trying to get back up after an officer grabbed her in a bear hug and threw her to the ground.
Once she was on her feet and handcuffed, she then head-butted an officer. She continued to be combative all the way to the police station, where she was then treated for her injuries.
Grimes said that, during the encounter, she hurt her right knee as well as her arm. She has since been released.
According to an official for the Dolphins, the team was not aware of the incident and did not have a comment on the matter.
